From 2024 – 2025, walking partner Max Oosterholt, photographer Aline Papenheim and I have completed eight night walks across the Netherlands. The goal is to highlight the complexities faced by women and feminine presenting people in public spaces, and share these experiences with transwomen, women, feminine presenting people and locals. Each walk involves a getting-ready routine with makeup and costumes (see photos of the process documented by Aline).
